The principal of the firm, Ms. Penni Livingston, is a graduate of the University
of Vermont.
She honed her skills with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency
and as a prosecuting attorney for St. Clair County, Illinois.
Her crown jewel of a case concerns a toxic containment pond of 400+ acres maintained
by Exxon.
She sucessfully fought this all the way to the Illinois Supreme Court,
winninning every step of the way.
There she was greeted by a phalanx of lawyers
armed with 19,000 pages of "evidence" she would have to digest- alone.
Personally,
Dean thinks she was naive to assume she could prevail against the world's largest
oil company desecrating the planet with toxic waste.
She will soon gather her
thoughts and head to Federal Courts. This ain't done yet and ahe is cheered on by
numeroua admirers.
