Dean's relationship with WooSing goes back thirty years to when he first started
attending the Cologne Hardware Show in Germany in 1988.
He first met Barry and
Charles in their booth in Halle 10.1. Barry and Charles are brothers, joined by a
third brother Steve.
They manage and run the company founded by their father in
Taiwan.
Over the years the have garnished a reputation for excellence by paying
attention to detail and using the highest quality steels.
As a consequence, they
were the manufacturer of choice for American Chain, Durbin and various other top-drawer
American companies.
Not a day passes that Dean does not put a hand to a Tiger
chain hoist and lift ungodly amounts to the top of the building.
Dean estimated
the building must weigh several million pounds. It was all lifted by Tiger!
Dean's
first chain hoist was a half-ton in 1988. It still works flawlessly- even exposed
to the elements. Just oil the chain.
His second hoist was a one-ton bought in
1989. Similar performance and longevity.
Barry and Charles are counted among Dean's
closest friends.
They are entering a new phase in their relationship.
Dean
has designed a radical new chain hoist utilizing hypo-cycloidal gearboxes and circular
cut gear lobes.
Hopefully for both parties it will be a revolution in technology!
